Mossman, We haven't met before but I thought you would be the best person to ask. My father and I are booked to stay at the Nook in mid August. I have an 18 foot Trophy and we have been fishing out of the Nook for the past 6 years. Fishing has been a lot of fun but I have heard a lot about boats going out offshore for salmon and hali's. I was wondering if you (or anyone else visiting the forum)could suggest a guide that could take us out "offshore". I would rather experience going out with someone experienced rather than taking my own boat out. Thanks so much!

hey fly boy. I also have a trophy 21ft. with 150 merc. depending on weather we always try to fish 10 mile or 23 mile. I can't guarantee off shore fishing but if you are interested I do some charters each year. I also have a site @ the nook. #58 . if you are interested I charge $800 per day up to three people. I supply all fishing gear (unless u want to bring your own).

Hi Flyboy sorry so long in getting back to you, was at the Nook. I see that #58 is not chartering. However there are a number of boats that go out everyday to 5 mile, 7 mile and all the way to 26 mile of the bank. Most of these people will be more than happy to have you tag alongside (or behind) as they head out. You should have a chartplotter and GPS as a minimum radar is also recommended. Ask around when you get there as to who is heading out and ask if you can go out with them. Have fun ---------- Moderator Poett Nook Marina
